Mission: To establish an enduring network of hospice and VA professionals, volunteers and other interested persons working together to provide quality end of life services for all veterans.
Vision: All veterans have quality hospice and palliative care at the time and place of need.
Purpose: The purpose of the MI-HVP is to develop and implement a plan of work to improve end-of-life care for Michigan veterans and their families. The MI-HVP will provide technical assistance, education, training, and advocacy for veterans. The MI-HVP desires to strengthen the relationship between the VA and community hospice providers, and encourages open access to quality end of life care in the community.
